About Love Testing
We believe love is not determined or limited by age, race, gender or sexual preference. Every single person deserve love. Love is very abstract, and our love testing has transferred this abstract feeling into visualization art.
Our project is based on P5Js Sketch and Arduino Sensors cooperated together. We have use heart sensor and humidity sensor to testing participants' heart rate from finger tip and humidify level of palm.
The sketch will responding based on the data collected from sensors and giving certain results projected on the board between two participants.
Love Testing is Collaborative project with Ella Ying-Tung Chung and Eva Yipeng Chen

User Flow
Each user will use the noise cancelation headphones and follow the audio instruction.
An interactive visuals will display and shifting according to the humidity and pulse sensor value of each user. The whole experience is approximately 60 sec and
Ptototyping 1.0
Software: P5.Js, Arduino
Hardware: Arduino Uno, Humidity Sensor, Glove.
The first version of Love Testing used humidity sensor and a glove as our sensing platform. The humidity sensor hide inside of the glove and detect the data from user’s palm.

Visual Prototyping 1.0
Software: P5.Js, JavaScript
According to the data feedback from the humidity sensor, the hearts will scale up and down, when the data reach the certain point, there will be heart rain falling.
User Testing
After the first User Testing, we decided to give up the glove and add pulse sensor, in order to detect the speed change of user’s pulse.
We will combine the data from humidity sensor and pulse sensor with a final results.
Prototyping 2.0 - Visual Design
for the visual par, we decided to use particle system for abstract heart shape. According to the data collected, the color will change within three different levels , and particles will get cohesion or disperse
Prototyping 2.0 - Digital Fabrication Design
Software: SketchUp, Laser Cutter
Hardware: Acrylics, Arduino Uno, Humidity Sensor and Pulse Sensor
Two testers will stand at each side of our testing board. They won’t see each other, and they will put their hand on the same position on each side and can see each other’s hand clearly.
The testing will automatically start once the data is detected.
